Hi, I’m Tom! 

After a 14-year stint as a semi-professional skier in the Alpine mountains surrounding Zermatt, Switzerland, an accident that ruptured my meniscus swiftly ended my skiing career. I returned to the UK in 2017 and rediscovered my passion for the sea and surfing in Croyde Bay. Surfing quickly became my new obsession, so I dedicated myself to becoming a qualified lifeguard and surf coach.

I started Croyde Bay Surf Hire in 2021, to help more people enjoy wave riding along the picturesque coastline of North Devon.

Our friendly surf hire team are here to help you make the most of your surf, bodyboard or paddleboarding experience in North Devon.

We’re conveniently located at Down End Car Park in Croyde - the first car park on the right as you drive into the village from Braunton and Saunton. 

We have a wide variety of surfboards, wetsuits, bodyboards, and paddleboards available to rent, and can accommodate a wide-range of sizes and ability-levels to ensure that you make the most of the conditions of any given day.

We also offer a delivery and collection service within a reasonable distance of Croyde village, so you can have a completely hassle-free experience.
